Australian Shepherds & Me

Welcome to Dolci Angeli,

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our Australian Shepherds and to the way they are an integral part of our family.
We are also happy to share how our passion for this remarkable breed came to life.

My name is Francisca, and my love for animals began long before dogs entered my life.
For many years, I was deeply involved in the American Quarter Horse sport, a horse breed of American origin.

Through that world, I was first introduced to the Australian Shepherd in 1995, where I came to know the breed as a ranch and working dog.

That first encounter did not go unnoticed.

I purchased two puppies and shared many wonderful years and adventures with them.

The intelligence, eagerness to work, and remarkable will to please of the Australian Shepherd left a lasting impression.

After approximately twenty years, I stepped away from intensive horse sport.

The horses remained as a hobby, but together with my son Jeffrey, I decided to make the Australian Shepherd our profession.

My love for this breed had long been established, and the decision to build our future entirely around it therefore felt very natural.

In the years that followed, I continued to deepen my knowledge of the Australian Shepherd: the origin of the breed, its original purpose, and its roots.

This led me to connect with various breeders in both the United States and Europe and gave me the opportunity to visit kennels and carefully study bloodlines.

Our dogs therefore descend from proven lines that remain close to the original roots of the breed.

Over the years, these lines have distinguished themselves through quality, stability, and versatility.

This is something we are particularly proud of.

The Australian Shepherd is a breed with many possibilities.

They excel in various dog sports such as agility, flyball, frisbee, and herding, and are also highly suited for obedience training and clicker training.

In addition, several of our dogs are active as therapy dogs — always under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Above all, however, the Australian Shepherd is, for us, a wonderful and stable family dog: active, social, eager to learn, and fond of being outdoors, walking, and water.

At Dolci Angeli, our dogs are truly part of the family.

They live freely in our home and have access to approximately one hectare of space to play, exercise, and relax.

We regularly head out together to the forest or the sea and place great importance on maintaining a balance between activity and rest.

In order to preserve this calm environment for our pack, visits are by appointment only, on Saturday afternoons.

This allows everyone the opportunity to get to know the breed and our dogs in a relaxed setting, without disrupting the dogs’ daily routine.

During such a visit, you can explore our location and see how our dogs live here.

The dogs are then divided into groups, but you will of course have the opportunity to meet them.

We wish you great enjoyment while exploring our website and getting to know our Australian Shepherds and this wonderful breed.

Kind regards,
